Moving from Google Forms to WordPress

Fillin Forge is an alternative to Google Forms with 168 templates, plus AI form generation and Typeform-style conversational forms on paid plans.

Google Forms and Fillin Forge side by side: what each one lists, with sources and dates, and how to move your forms over.

Updated October 2026

Google Forms is a form tool from Google. Its page states no price in October 2026. Fillin Forge is a WordPress plugin: the forms live on your WordPress site, built in the Fillin Forge builder and shown through a shortcode.

This page puts the two side by side. What it says about Google Forms comes from its own page; what it says about Fillin Forge comes from the plugin code and the Privacy Policy.

What the Free plugin has and what the paid plans add

From the Fillin Forge code: the Free plugin has 24 of the 28 field types, all 168 templates, conditional logic, webhooks, file uploads, CSV export and the migrators. The paid plans add the Page Break, Repeater, Calculation and Payment (Stripe) fields, multi-step forms, conversational mode, AI form generation and AI summaries of submissions, form analytics, and the Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Google Sheets and Google Calendar connections. The paid plans differ by the number of sites ($54/year for 1 site, $154/year for 5 sites, $224/year for unlimited sites). AI features run on credits: a one-time 100-credit welcome bonus is added to your account at its first paid license activation, and credit packs are sold separately (see avakode.com/pricing).

Moving from Google Forms

Fillin Forge has migrators for Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, WPForms and Ninja Forms (class-migration.php), and none for Google Forms. Rebuild the form in the Fillin Forge builder, or describe it to the AI form generator (paid plans), then replace the Google Forms embed on your pages with [formforge id="X"]. Export your responses from Google Sheets before you stop using the form; Fillin Forge has no CSV import for submissions.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep using Google Forms for some forms and Fillin Forge for others?

Yes. They are separate; each form keeps its own embed on your pages.

Will my form history from Google Forms be lost?

Fillin Forge has no CSV import for submissions, so export your responses from Google Sheets before you stop using the form.

Does Fillin Forge require Google account sign-in?

No. Fillin Forge runs inside WordPress. The Google Sheets and Google Calendar connections (paid plans) ask you to connect a Google account when you set them up.

Where does Fillin Forge keep my data?

Submissions are saved in your WordPress database. In the paid plans, the AI features, the Telegram, WhatsApp, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Google Sheets and Google Calendar connections, and the PDF of a single submission go through api.avakode.com. Slack, Discord, webhooks and notification emails are sent by your site directly. The Privacy Policy (sections 3.4 and 3.5) lists what is sent.
