Visual Drag & Drop Form Builder
Fillin Forge’s visual builder is a drag-and-drop form editor. Three panels: fields on the left, your form in the middle, field settings and a live preview on the right. Drag from the left, drop in the middle, edit on the right. That’s the whole interface.
How the builder works
Three-panel layout
Left panel: field palette. The field types grouped by category (Basic, Choice, Advanced, Layout). Drag any field into your form, or click it to add it. Fields marked PRO are locked until the Pro add-on is active.
Middle panel: form fields. Your form as a list of field cards, each with its type, its label and a mark if it is required. Click a card or its pencil icon to open its settings in the right panel. Drag cards to reorder. Click the × icon to remove a field.
Right panel: settings and preview. Field Settings for the selected field: label, placeholder, description, required, options, validation, default value, CSS classes and conditional logic. Below it are Element Style and a Live preview of the form.
No modal dialogs. No “Save and continue” buttons. No losing your place.
Real-time preview
Field settings apply as you type, and the Live preview in the right panel shows the form the way visitors will see it. Use Refresh to reload the preview.
Unsaved changes
When the form has unsaved changes, the save bar at the top shows it, and the browser warns you if you try to leave the page. Save the form from that bar.

The builder has all 28 field types, from simple text to compound fields like repeater, calculation, map address, and Stripe payment. Page break, repeater, calculation and payment need a paid plan. See all 28 field types →
Field descriptions and help text
Every field supports an optional description that appears below the field on the frontend. Perfect for short instructions (“Your number without the country code”) or explanations (“We’ll only use this for order confirmation”).
Conditional logic editor
Set up conditional logic right in the field settings panel. Choose another field, pick a comparison operator (equals, does not equal, contains, does not contain, greater than, less than, is empty, is not empty), and the value. Combine multiple conditions with AND/OR. Works on every field type except the layout fields: Heading, HTML Block, Divider and Page Break.

Multi-step breaks
Drag a Page Break field (a Pro field) into the canvas at any point and the form becomes a multi-step form. Fillin Forge automatically adds a progress bar and back/next navigation.

Conversational mode toggle
The Conversational Mode checkbox above the form settings (a Pro feature) turns any form into a one-question-at-a-time, Typeform-style experience. No separate builder, no separate form — it’s the same form rendered differently.

Form settings
Beyond the field-level settings, the builder has a Form Settings card for:
- Form title (internal, at the top of the form area)
- Submit button text
- After submitshow a success message, redirect to a URL, or run a safe page action
- Success message (what users see after submitting)
- Redirect URL (optional, to send users to a thank-you page)
Below it are cards for Email Notifications and for integrations (Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Webhook, Mailchimp, Google Sheets, Google Calendar and HubSpot CRM). Settings for the whole site, such as the reCAPTCHA keys, are on the Settings screen. Styling is set per element in Element Style, and each field also has a CSS classes setting.
On one screen
The builder keeps you on one screen: field settings apply as you type, and one click on the save bar saves the form.
